Brian Martinez’s Suited Coffee Co. Provides Delicious and Ethically-Sourced Beans for Coffee Lovers

After a trip to Italy in 2010, Brian Martinez created Suited Coffee Company, a brand that strives to give people great-tasting coffee by using high-quality and ethically-sourced beans to create an experience that customers will never forget. However, before founding Suited Coffee, Martinez was an entrepreneur working in finance. His background has helped him significantly with transitioning to the coffee industry and creating his own label. Since starting the company, he has built Suited Coffee Co. into an established brand that brings great-tasting beans to its consumers and at a great price

Martinez envisions his coffee shops having a similar culture to the coffee shops found around Europe. After seeing firsthand how different the coffee culture is in Italy compared to the United States, Martinez wanted to bring these European elements to Suited Coffee Co. “I was fascinated by the numerous walk-up espresso stands all over town that were serving the locals,” said Martinez, according to Suited Coffee’s website. “I want to bring that sense of unity and community around my coffee whether it’s at home, a cafe, or at work – where we spend most of our precious time.”

Martinez fell into the coffee industry after this journey to Italy, wanting to learn as much as he could to bring their coffee culture to the States. Upon his return, he learned about the history of coffee and the process of making it. “I wanted to go deeper into coffee to understand its history, appreciate the intensive labor involved by coffee-producing countries to grow the coffee cherries and understand how it is processed and roasted to perfection,” said Martinez. Today, he sources his beans from locations across the world, giving customers a taste that is both delicious and ethical, focusing on coffee farms that use honorable practices to gather their beans. In this way, he aims to influence change in the world by using ethically-sourced beans that taste great.

Currently, the brand offers three different medium roast blends that all have a smooth, rich taste to them, but with different tastes and notes, letting customers pick their favorites based on personal preference. Each blend provides 100% Arabica beans that are ethically sourced from farms contracted with Suited Coffee Co. Specifically, “Mindset,” a blend of beans from Cusco, Peru and Brazil Mogiana, has a slightly sweet and acidic taste with notes of caramel, honey and more. The “Morning After” blend, on the other hand, features beans from Guatemala, Nicaragua and Ethiopia that makes a coffee with a smooth finish and notes of orange sherbert and Milky Way. Finally, the “Executive Blend” is considered to be the flagship blend at Suited Coffee Co. With a combination of beans from Ethiopia and Brazil, the Executive Blend is a coffee that is considered sweet and smooth, with notes of “milk chocolate, vanilla, dried cherry and maple syrup,” according to Suited Coffee’s website

Currently, the only place to purchase Suited Coffee blends is online or through Martinez’s pop-up locations. People interested in trying Suited Coffee’s beans are able to purchase the three different blends along with merchandise through their website. For consumers who are interested in tasting the coffee, each bag costs $21.97 for 12 ounces of beans. The brand also offers sample packs for only $6.50, letting consumers get a taste of each blend for less. Even better, the brand offers domestic shipping for online orders across the United States, and orders over $40 receive shipping for free.

Martinez has plans to open up his first physical location in Southern California in the future, but has not disclosed exactly where the location will be. To help Suited Coffee Co. find their first location within or outside Southern California, customers and people are encouraged to email info@suitedcoffe.com with the subject line “Locations” or by clicking here.
