Exclusive Q&A with Leslie Latimore-Lorfils: Transforming the Lives of High-Achieving Moms

Q. Leslie, your journey is nothing short of extraordinary.  What was the defining moment that led you to step into this powerful role of coaching and transformation for high-achieving moms, mompreneurs, and lady leaders?

A. I vividly remember a moment when I was at the height of my military career—serving my country, leading my family, and pouring into my community—yet feeling completely depleted. One evening, after an exhausting day of meetings, training, and a full evening routine with the kids, I found myself in tears, questioning if I was truly making an impact. That moment of vulnerability wasn’t a breakdown—it was a breakthrough. It was my reminder that my strength wasn’t just in my ability to push through but in my willingness to be honest about my struggles. I knew then that I needed to create a framework to help other high-achieving women find the balance and fulfillment they deserve without sacrificing themselves in the process. That’s how the G.P.S. system was born—a roadmap for women to navigate life with grace, purpose, and structure.

Q. You developed the 8-step G.P.S. system to help executive-level moms overcome burnout. Can you walk us through this method and share how it has personally impacted your life and the lives of your clients?

A. The 8-step G.P.S. system is designed to guide women from a place of chaos to a position of clarity. It’s about getting your internal and external “maps” aligned—knowing where you are, where you want to go, and how to get there without losing yourself in the process. The heart of G.P.S. is I.M.E.N.O.U.G.H—a declaration and a methodology that reminds women they are inherently enough. It’s helped me realign my priorities, reclaim my time, and establish unwavering boundaries, and it’s done the same for countless clients. They’re not just surviving anymore—they’re thriving with intentionality and purpose.

Q. Balancing a high-powered career, entrepreneurship, and motherhood can feel impossible for many. What are the biggest misconceptions about work-life balance, and how do you challenge them?

A. The biggest misconception about balance is that it’s about perfection—having every aspect of your life weighted equally at all times. Real balance is dynamic. It’s about fluidity and knowing when to lean into one area while giving yourself grace in another. I challenge the notion of balance by redefining it as alignment. When your actions align with your values and priorities, you feel at peace—even when life is busy. My G.P.S. system equips women to build that alignment so they’re not just managing their lives—they’re mastering them.

Q. “Girl Organize That Life!” is such a strong and empowering call to action. What inspired you to create this movement, and what impact have you seen from it?

A. The movement was born out of my own desire to take control of my life—on my terms. I knew that if I was struggling to find structure and purpose despite all my accomplishments, there were countless other women feeling the same. It’s not just about organizing your schedule, it’s about organizing your mind, your boundaries, and your purpose. I’ve witnessed incredible transformations—women who felt buried by expectations now confidently steering their own lives with clarity and conviction. It’s more than just a brand; it’s a movement toward purposeful living.

Q. Your book(s) have become international bestsellers. Can you share the heart behind your latest book, what readers can expect, and the message you hope to impart?

A. My latest book, Illuminate Your Legacy, is a deeply personal and profound exploration of what it truly means to leave a lasting impact. It’s not just about leaving behind assets or accomplishments—it’s about embedding your values, love, and wisdom into the hearts and minds of those who matter most. In the book, I dive into the importance of carving out intentional time to ensure that we’re not just building careers but also building legacies that guide and inspire future generations. It’s about making sure that our lives tell a story worth remembering—a roadmap that others can follow long after we’re gone. I wanted to challenge busy, high-achieving women to think beyond their roles and titles and focus on how they’ll be remembered—not just by what they did but by how they made others feel and grow.

Q. How did working with Radhaa Publishing House support your visibility and growth through the Rising Star PR Program?

A: Working with Radhaa Publishing House was an exceptional experience. Participating in the Red Carpet Affair in March 2025 brought together an incredible group of individuals who are deeply committed to making an impact—locally, nationally, and globally.

Radhaa and her team created a space that connected like-minded leaders who are actively engaged in their communities and intentional about the legacy they are creating. The level of professionalism was outstanding, and the exposure provided opened doors to meaningful conversations and relationships that simply wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

What stood out most was their ability to cultivate genuine connection—bringing people together in a way that felt aligned, purposeful, and expansive. It was an environment where collaboration felt natural and visibility felt earned.

For anyone seeking a professional, high-integrity space to elevate their brand and expand their reach, Radhaa Publishing House truly delivers on every level.

Q. As a Lieutenant Colonel with nearly 30 years of military service, how has your leadership experience shaped your approach to coaching and mentoring women?

A. The military taught me discipline, resilience, and the power of leadership through service. But it also showed me the importance of empathy and connection. My approach to coaching blends structure with soul—helping women strategize their lives with the same precision I used on the battlefield while never losing sight of their humanity. It’s about leading from the front while lifting others as you climb.

Q. You are certified in behavioral superpowers—how does this knowledge play a role in how you help high-achieving moms optimize their potential and avoid burnout?

A. Understanding behavioral superpowers allows me to meet women where they are and help them leverage their natural strengths. It’s about tailoring strategies that resonate with how they’re wired rather than forcing them into a one-size-fits-all solution. When women embrace their authentic selves, they stop fighting against their nature and start flowing with their strengths—leading to more sustainable success.

Q. You’ve been a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. for 29 years. How has this sisterhood influenced your journey as a leader, speaker, and mentor?

A. My sisterhood in Delta Sigma Theta has been a pillar of support, strength, and accountability. It taught me the value of collective power and the importance of uplifting others as you grow. This commitment to service and sisterhood is woven into everything I do—from the way I lead to the way I mentor. It’s about empowering women to stand tall together, rather than competing for space.

Q. As a woman with a fierce purpose, how do you navigate the naysayers—haters and people who just want to ride your coattails?

A. I stay focused on my mission and stay grounded in my faith. Not everyone will understand your vision or your journey, and that’s okay. I remind myself that I’m not called to be liked—I’m called to lead. I protect my space fiercely, and I stay intentional about surrounding myself with people who pour into me as much as I pour into them.

Q. In today’s fast-paced world, many moms feel they must choose between success and family. How do you redefine success, and what advice do you give to women struggling with this choice?

A. Success isn’t a title, a paycheck, or a milestone. It’s living a life that honors your values and your purpose. I tell women to define success on their own terms—stop letting society dictate what achievement should look like. Your legacy isn’t built in boardrooms or busy schedules—it’s cultivated in how you love, lead, and live with intention.

Q. Why is giving back such an essential part of your mission?

A. Giving back is at the core of everything I do. My mission has always been about more than just personal achievement—it’s about creating a ripple effect that uplifts others. That’s why every event I host has philanthropy built into it. We make it a point to donate to a charity of choice each year, ensuring that the impact we make reaches beyond the room and into communities that need support.

Q. For the woman reading this interview who feels like she’s lost herself in the chaos of motherhood and career, what would you say to her right now?

A. Sis, you are not alone. You are not lost—you are evolving. Sometimes the chaos is just a sign that it’s time to pause, realign, and rebuild. Give yourself permission to be human, to be messy, to take up space unapologetically. You are enough—right now, just as you are. Let’s take this journey together, because you are destined for more, and I’m here to help you claim it.

Q. With 12 children, you have a unique perspective on motherhood. What have been some of the most profound lessons your children have taught you about leadership, resilience, and purpose?

A. My children have been my greatest teachers. They’ve taught me that leadership isn’t just about being in charge—it’s about being present, being patient, and being humble enough to learn alongside them. Resilience is something I see every day when they face challenges with unwavering determination, reminding me that setbacks aren’t failures—they’re lessons in strength. They’ve shown me the beauty of grace in chaos and the importance of pausing to appreciate the small moments. Purpose, for me, is rooted in the legacy I leave not just through my achievements but through how I nurture, support, and love them. My children have taught me that it’s not about being perfect—it’s about being purposeful. They remind me daily that my greatest leadership role is raising kind, courageous, and confident individuals who know how to stand tall even when life gets tough.

Q. What has been one of the most powerful transformations you’ve witnessed in a client who embraced your coaching? Can you share a success story that truly stands out?

A. One of the most powerful transformations I’ve witnessed was with my very first client—a retired military officer who was at her absolute wits’ end. She had just left behind a demanding career and was adjusting to life with two young children while moving to a new city. Retirement wasn’t feeling restful—instead, she was completely overwhelmed, struggling to find structure, and questioning whether she would ever regain her sense of purpose and identity.

We worked together to implement the 8-Step G.P.S. System, focusing on redefining her priorities, creating sustainable routines, and setting intentional boundaries. It wasn’t just about organizing her time—it was about reclaiming her life. Step by step, she moved from feeling scattered and stressed to being centered and in control. She found a renewed sense of purpose, established routines that worked for her family, and, most importantly, gave herself permission to rest without guilt.

What made this transformation even more special was knowing that she not only felt like herself again but also started showing up as a more present, joyful mom and confident leader within her community. She often tells me how grateful she is for the program and how it empowered her to reclaim her life with clarity and grace. Seeing her walk in that new level of freedom and confidence was a powerful affirmation that the work I do truly matters.

Q. If you could give one piece of advice to moms who feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and stuck in survival mode, what would it be?

A. Give yourself permission to pause. You’re not a machine—you’re a human being with a heart that deserves rest and a spirit that deserves nourishment. Survival mode is not your permanent address. Take a moment to breathe and ask yourself: What do I truly need right now? It might be help, space, or simply a moment of silence. Whatever it is, honor it. Prioritize self-care not as a luxury but as a necessity. You are allowed to put yourself back on your own list. Start with small, intentional steps to reclaim your peace, and remember—being strong doesn’t mean doing it all alone.

Q. What kind of coaching packages or programs are you currently offering? Can you share details on how women can work with you to reclaim their time, energy, and success?

A. Right now, I’m thrilled to offer a range of transformative coaching packages through the BAWSE Academy. The Academy features three tiers to meet women at various stages of their journey:

• 30-Day Catalyst Course: A focused sprint to kickstart your transformation, helping you break through limiting beliefs and set purposeful goals.

• 90-Day Hectic to Harmony Intensive: A deeper dive into creating sustainable structure, reclaiming your time, and establishing lasting balance while nurturing both personal and professional growth.

• Year-Long Mastery Program: An immersive experience designed for ambitious women ready to master the art of balance and breakthrough, with ongoing mentorship, community support, and personalized strategies.

Whether you’re looking to spark change quickly or commit to long-term transformation, I have a pathway that aligns with your needs. My mission is to guide women to reclaim their time, renew their energy, and rise into their next level of success—without burning out in the process.

Q. Many women struggle with organization and productivity. What are three practical strategies they can implement today to start regaining control of their schedules?

A. 1. Time Blocking: Designate specific blocks of time for key tasks and non-negotiable activities. Whether it’s work, family time, or self-care, give each priority its space. This helps eliminate the overwhelm of multitasking and keeps your focus sharp.

2. Declutter Your Mind: Start each week with a brain dump—write down everything that’s weighing on your mind. Then categorize tasks by priority. This simple exercise frees up mental space and helps you approach your week with clarity and intention.

3. Set Realistic Boundaries: One of the biggest productivity killers is overcommitting. Learn to say “no” without guilt. Protect your time by being clear about what serves your mission and what doesn’t. Boundaries are the foundation of sustainable success.

Q. You’ve accomplished so much already—what’s next for you? Are there any upcoming projects, books, or initiatives that you’re excited about?

A. I’m deeply committed to pouring into the lives of women who are ready to transform, which is why I’m so passionate about the BAWSE Academy. Through the Academy, I’m creating pathways for women to move from hectic to harmonious living, reclaiming their time, purpose, and joy. I’m thrilled about the Hectic to Harmony Intensive, where we’ll focus on building sustainable balance and intentional living.

Through the Academy, I’m creating pathways for women to move from hectic to harmonious living, reclaiming their time, purpose, and joy. I’m thrilled about the Hectic to Harmony Intensive, where we’ll focus on building sustainable balance and intentional living. Additionally, I’m collaborating with my partner for a Joint Venture Retreat in May, combining my 8-Step G.P.S. System with the Recreating HER framework to provide a powerhouse experience for women ready to embrace their next level.

Another exciting addition to my mission of transformation is the Healthy Me 2 Be Wellness and Beauty Haven. This space is more than just self-care; it’s a sanctuary for women to recharge their minds, bodies, and spirits. It’s designed to edify women from the inside out—nurturing their wellness while celebrating their beauty. At Healthy Me 2 Be, we’re building a community where women feel valued, rejuvenated, and empowered to live their best lives.

I’m also looking forward to my inaugural BAWSE anthology series, where more women will share their stories of impact and purpose. Plus, my 50 Shades of Purple: Where Royal Queens Reign birthday celebration will be a powerful culmination of sisterhood and empowerment, bringing together a community of fierce, faith-driven women.

At the heart of it all, I’m dedicated to ensuring that every woman I touch knows her value, owns her power, and walks in the fullness of her purpose. Whether through coaching, speaking, or community outreach, I’m on a mission to make sure no woman feels alone in her journey to greatness.

Q. Finally, for the woman reading this interview who feels like she’s lost herself in the chaos of motherhood and career, what would you say to her right now?

A. Sis, take a deep breath. You are not lost—you are evolving. Sometimes the chaos is just life’s way of forcing you to slow down and reassess. Remember, you are more than the roles you play. You are worthy of the same love, grace, and compassion you so freely give to others. It’s okay to take a step back and recalibrate. You don’t have to do it all or be everything to everyone. Prioritize YOU. Your worth is not tied to your productivity—it’s tied to your essence, your heart, and your soul. Realign with what truly matters, and don’t be afraid to seek support. You don’t have to journey alone—together, we rise.
